Why Now?
I have always been a well organized person, both in my personal and business life, but a few days before my husband passed away, I realized that while we had all of our financial and business affairs in order, we had never talked about our personal thoughts and feelings about the end of our life.
When I finally gained the courage to broach the subject, it was as though a great weight had been lifted.
Think Beyond the Will is not only for end of life. I was the Substitute Decision Maker for a friend who had entered the early stages of dementia and it fell to me to move her to long term care, sell her house and belongings and take care of her 2 cats. All this without any direction from her. If she would have had the foresight to leave a documented plan, my job wouldn't have been so lengthy and frustrating.
So no matter where you are on the wheel of life, not planning for the end-of-life generally does not make for good outcomes.
It has always been difficult for me to communicate with my family about personal, sensitive issues. Thank you so much for organizing all the bits and pieces of my life that will be essential in the event of my illness or passing. Well done!!! - Betty S.
What People Are Saying
Over the many years I have known Marlene, she has always been a source of valuable information and guidance. She will be a great resource in her business and this type of advocacy and information is greatly needed. - Laurie W., retired Registered Nurse
I chose Think Beyond the Will because of their easy-to-use process and great customer service. - Deb K.
Although I had drawn up my will and made provisions for my two adult children with disabilities, until I became aware of Think Beyond the Will I hadn't realized I had never given my Executor all the information he would need to deal with my affairs - financial, health related and end of life wishes. Since taking advantage of TBTW I feel confident I've provided my Executor and PoA with everything he will need to seamlessly deal with my affairs should I at some time no longer be able to take care of myself or upon my death. - Eleanor E.
It is so easy to put things off when they seem overwhelming, making them needlessly complicated. My Aunt's patient, practical approach and attention to detail have been invaluable. She has provided so much real-world, grounded advice and assistance, all while actively listening to my own needs and concerns. - Chris R.
